Respect Life
"The Respect Life group for OLOK, Sacred Heart and St. John's, would like to thank all our parishioners for their generosity during the baby bottle drive last summer to support the Alight center. As you know, the Alight center helps women choose life. The numbers are in! In our last drive, we raised over $2,300! This was over $800 more than the previous year! Jennifer Lawlor, the director of Alight wrote a very beautiful personal letter of thanks to our parish. Explaining that all their work is 100% supported by donations and that without us, they could not help woman who want their babies, choose life.
God bless you all! How important you are in this work, to show the world that rejects life, that we as Christians, embrace every life, because it is created in the image of Our Creator, for eternity."

I am pleased to announce the coming 40 days for life Hudson campaign, starting this lent! We have hosted 40 days for life, which has a Spring and Fall campaign, in Hudson, outside of Planned Parenthood, for 4 years now. It will begin Ash Wednesday and run through April 2nd. We are an affiliate of the National organization called simply 40 days for life. The organization states on their website that up to 75%of women who go to an abortion clinic to abort their child, if they see people praying outside, will not go through with it. I can confirm that I have witnessed women change their mind. What an awesome thing! Not only is a child saved but a woman is saved from making the most tragic mistake of her life!
If you think you could spare an hour a week, or every two weeks, or even just one hour, to pray outside this abortion facility, go to https://www.40daysforlife.com/en/Hudson and sign up. Or, you can call Noelle Ryan at (518) 966-0081 for more information.
Respect life prayer hour
As usual, the Respect Life prayer hour is every third Friday, from 5-6pm in OLOK before evening Mass at 6:30 pm. This month that is next Friday 17th. During lent, we will participate in the stations of the cross, at 5:30pm. Please come and pray for an unbelieving world that rejects even the unborn.
Respect Life Meeting
We will be having our first meeting of the year, March 15th, at 3pm, in the Michael LaSalle hall (in the church office building). We need new members! Please consider joining us!
